Renewal of the National ID
This service enables citizens (male and female) to renew the national ID electronically using the latest facial-recognition technologies, with a request to deliver the document to the beneficiary's registered address without the need to visit Civil Affairs offices.
- Access via the link to the Absher platform and select My Services - Civil Affairs Services - National ID Services.
- The welcome page for the services is displayed with their conditions.
- Select "Renew the National ID".
- Attach a new photo and select "Next".
- The personal photo's conformity to the conditions is verified automatically, and if the conditions are not met, a message appears clarifying the unmet condition.
- Align the photo based on the displayed template by zooming out and in, then verify and select "Save and continue".
- Agree to the pledge and select "Continue".
- Select the address.
- Review the service-fee details and acknowledge the accuracy of the entered data, then select "Continue". —
- Proceed to the payment page.
- After payment, a reference number is generated and the application is saved.
- The beneficiary cannot make a request while there is an existing request.
- This service is available when 180 days or less remain until the national ID expires.
- A registered address for the beneficiary.
- No unpaid fines on the beneficiary for the Civil Affairs sector.
- A recent personal photo conforming to Civil Affairs requirements, according to the following standards:
- Format: JPEG 2000
- Size: not exceeding 1MB
- Dimensions: in multiples of 4×6
- Payment of the ID delivery fees through the available channels.
- Payment of the beneficiary's violations for the Civil Affairs sector.
- Acknowledgment of the accuracy of the entered data and agreement to the conditions while submitting the application.
- Activation of the renewed national ID card after receiving it to ensure its validity.
