The branches of the National Committee for the Care of Inmates, Released Persons and Their Families (Tarahum) in the Asir and Qassim regions, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Prisons, organised celebrations marking the 95th Saudi National Day in a number of correctional facilities in the Asir and Qassim regions. These included Abha Prison, Khamis Mushait Prison, Bisha Prison and Muhayil Prison, as well as Buraidah Prison, Unaizah Prison and Ar Rass Prison, the Qassim Women's Prison and the women's section in Abha. The events ranged from artistic and cultural performances to national competitions, and the programmes also included sports activities designed to encourage positive engagement. The initiative aims to strengthen the values of belonging and loyalty to the nation, spread an atmosphere of joy and pride on this cherished occasion, and give inmates the opportunity to express their feelings towards their country in a motivating and positive environment.
