Riyadh – The National Committee for the Care of Inmates, Released Persons and Their Families (Tarahum) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Global Foundation for Humanitarian Work, with the aim of developing the rehabilitation system for inmates and released persons.
Under the agreement, the King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation will provide support worth SAR 5 million to fund specialised studies and research. This research will focus on evaluating the current rehabilitation and training programmes offered to beneficiaries and identifying ways to develop them to meet their needs and the requirements of the labour market.
The findings of the studies will be used to design and develop educational and training programmes covering psychological and behavioural rehabilitation, alongside enhancing vocational readiness, helping to strengthen beneficiaries' ability to integrate economically and socially after their release.
