Documentation of a Previous Marriage
An electronic service that enables the beneficiary to document a previous marriage contract.
- Access the link and log in to the Najiz platform using the National Single Sign-On account
- Select "All electronic services"
- Select the "Social Status" package
- Access the "Documentation of a Previous Marriage" service
- Click the "Use service" icon
- Select the relevant documentation authority
- Enter the required data (husband – wife – or their agents) – marriage data – marriage conditions – guardian or his agent – children's data – place of the incident – witnesses
- Click the "Submit application" icon
- The beneficiary is notified via text message with the application number and submission date
- The contract parties are notified via text messages to authenticate the application
- The application is approved after auditing, then the marriage contract document is issued
- Availability of supporting documents as per the requirements of the service's electronic form
- Provision of all data of the marriage contract parties (husband – wife – wife's guardian – or their agents – the two witnesses)
- All contract parties and witnesses must be over 18 years of age; if the husband or wife is under 18, an early-marriage approval deed issued by the competent court is required
- A mobile number authenticated in Absher for all parties
- The woman's guardian must be in accordance with the sequence of legal guardianship over the woman, and proof of the transfer of guardianship from the father to another must be attached
- If one of the marriage parties is Saudi and the other is non-Saudi, it is subject to the regulation on marriage of a Saudi to a non-Saudi issued by the Minister of Interior's decision No. 6874 dated 20/12/1422 AH
- A valid power of attorney must be present if the applicant is an agent, or the external power of attorney must be attached after its authentication by the Ministry of Justice
- If the documents are issued from outside the Kingdom, they are authenticated by the Ministry of Justice; and if the applicant is an agent under an external power of attorney, it is verified, and if not verified, the power of attorney is attached to the application
